Manscapes exhibits and sells fine art human figure prints on the world wide web. Though specializing in male nude figure studies in black and white, toned and color photography, Manscapes will also consider work in other media and of the female figure as well. Some computer enhanced photography or derivative art has been particularly successful in Manscapes exhibitions.

While our established collectors generally seek images of nude or mostly nude males, many develop a sincere appreciation of the style and technique of a particular artist, and sometimes gravitate to other subject matter by such an artist to broaden their collection of his or her work.

It should be said that Manscapes has a very large and diverse clientele - with subscribers in over thirty countries and shipped sales to nineteen (as of December of 1998). It should also be noted that Manscapes' visitors, subscribers and collectors include both men and women. It is our policy to be "inclusive" of all who appreciate the line, form, aesthetic purity, beauty, sensuality and strength of the athletic human body. Recognizing that such clientele may include both sexes. . .Red, Black, Brown, Yellow and White. . . straight , gay and bi. . . both serious collectors and casual viewers. . . Manscapes attempts to exhibit positive, healthy and joyful images which serve to elevate the human spirit.

We tend to avoid blatantly sexual images, while not absolutely prohibiting eroticism portrayed in any way that is not "restrictively homosexual or heterosexual." We have no idea what "pornography" is, beyond it's philological origins as "the writings of prostitutes." But we know that the nude human body can be portrayed in a way that is vulgar or demeaning. . .  and we'd rather not.

Our standard representation agreement may be read and printed from the web. Guidelines for electronic submission of images for consideration by Manscapes' staff should be reviewed very carefully before any images are sent. Submissions by regular mail will be returned only if a postage-paid, self-addressed envelope is included therewith.
